Aistemos appoints Steve Halliday as Non Executive Chairman
Aistemos, the market leader in AI-powered patent analytics, today announced the appointment of Steve Halliday as its new Chairman.
Steve was previously CEO of Wood Mackenzie, the global leader in commercial intelligence for the energy, metals and mining industries having joined the business in 1989. The business was sold to Verisk for £1.85bn in 2015 and Steve is now the Chairman, Natural Resources for Verisk.
Commenting on the appointment Nigel Swycher, founder and CEO said: “I am delighted that Steve has joined the board. As we continue to expand, we will benefit from the decades of experience that Steve will bring in developing essential intelligence to make better business decisions. Over the last 5 year’s Cipher has established a world-class reputation. Our next stage involves educating the market that intangible assets are just as important as our natural energy reserves”.
Steve joins Steve Harris, Aistemos CTO and Scott Bell on the board. Steve Halliday said: “ Intangible assets are the lifeblood of the corporate economy for all companies. What’s fascinating is the fact that so little is understood about intellectual property and specifically patents in corporate decision making. All of that is set to change. We have already seen significant interest in IP as an asset class and I predict much more attention going forward. Aistemos is perfectly positioned for the rush for better information and I’m excited to join the team”.
Aistemos is based in London and customers include BAE Systems, ARM, ABB and Bose.
