Your Career – Data Analyst

This role is suited to, but not limited to, recent graduates, experienced professionals, academics recently retired, and or those with spare time to do interesting work.

The data analyst’s primary responsibility is to analyse and input data related to corporate structures, ensuring that Cipher remains best in class with respect to the capture of corporate ownership. The role requires regular desk-based research and updating of corporate structures. This includes collecting and analysing data specific to, for example, acquisitions, subsidiaries, joint ventures and mergers. Also, responding to both internal and external grouping requests when identified. Corporate grouping is a critical part of delivering the very best in patent intelligence to our clients.

There is space for expansion and development within this role. There will be opportunities and a requirement to work on other data projects within the business including on direct client deliverables. This opportunity is suited to self-starting, results orientated individuals with an inquisitive mind who enjoy problem-solving.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience working in an analytical/data entry role
  • Proficient with Excel.
  • An interest in innovation and technology trends.
  • An understanding of intellectual property and patents is beneficial
